Be American Made

Celebrating American-made products and those that produce them.

Play Pits

In the modern age, as parents become increasingly conscious of the products they introduce to their children, the demand for safe and locally sourced goods has witnessed a surge. Perhaps you have not thought of it yet, but where is the deodorant made that you are giving to your children? Say hello to Play Pits. Play Pits was founded by Chantel Powell, a wife and working mom of 3. After having her youngest son, Kaiden, she was diagnosed with a rare eczema condition that left her allergic to an ingredient found in almost every skin and hair care product. Continue reading

House Copper

House Copper is a female-owned and operated venture that is unique in many ways. For instance: I’m the only known female coppersmith building and designing copper cookware in America. That’s pretty cool. After a series of successful ventures (and adventures!) owner Sara Dahmen realized a few important things: American cookware designs were lost No one was actually building cookware lines, in American styles, IN America And no one knew how to do the whole process anymore (back in the day, you’d walk up the road to the blacksmith/tinsmith/coppersmith to get things) What better way to solve these issues than to start House Copper do it herself! Bezi Bra Discs

Way back in 1956 Edith’s Lingerie Shop opened in Princeton, New Jersey. The shop belonged to Anne Zuckerman’s mother. From very early in life Anne had the opportunity to watch and learn from her mother as she ran her shop. This included trips to New York City to purchase merchandise. After these years of learning and growing, Anne had a product idea that she wanted to bring to market. That product was the Bezi Bra Disc. Continue reading

Mr Canary

2022-10-21 Outdoors Home Goods
We absolutely love every company that we feature here on BeAmericanMade. We truly do. However, this company has set the bar pretty high for everyone else. Mr. Canary is the self-proclaimed “company that made bird feeding cool.” However, we think they are pretty cool for how they run their Indiana-based business. At the core, Mr. Canary is a company that manufactures and sells bird feeders and bird feed. They offer several products that will put you in very high standing with your local birds for sure.
