Willa’s Shortbread

Who doesn’t love some great shortbread? We love it. Seriously. Shortbread does not last long around here.

Recently we received some Willa’s Shortbread as a gift. We were excited at the fact that it was Made in America, but also extremely excited about the taste! It’s good stuff!

Originally made from her home in the Highlands of North Carolina, Willa Allen started small. Offering it at local markets and special events. In 2006 she decided to retire and the company was purchased by her son and a group of investors, the Rion family.

Today, Willa’s Shortbread is owned and operated by the Rion family who carry on the tradition of high quality and delicious products. All our products are made by hand in small batches to insure freshness and quality. We use only the finest, all natural ingredients and never add preservatives or artificial flavorings in any of our recipes.

You will find not only the classic shortbread but also treats such as Nashville Hot Cheddar, Tennessee Whiskey and Butter Pecan.

If you are looking for something beyond the shortbread offerings, take a look at the gourmet foods options. You’ll find some great such as Strawberry Butter and Kickles. (Those are ‘pickles with a kick’ if you are curious.)
