The story of Toehold mimics that of many great beginnings. A founder has a problem and decides to find the best way to fix that problem. In this case, it was a broken strap on a flip flop. The end result: hand crafted, hand made premium flip flops.

Our flip flops are made entirely by hand. There are about 550 steps involved in making a pair. We focus on perfection, not speed. Therefore, it takes roughly 5-6 weeks to make a pair of flip flops from start to finish.

Do keep in mind, you are going to pay for what you get. These are marketed as “premium” flip flops, as such, they are not the same as the $10 pair you buy at WalMart.

The flip flops are priced in the $300-$400 range for most offerings. Check out the ‘standard’ offerings such as the “Samurai”, “Patriot” and “Tiger”, all of which can be found in the Flip Flips section of their website.

However, you can get crazy too. They currently offer a Himalayan Crocodile flip flip that sells for the cool sum of $5,000 US.
