Snotrac: multi-passenger snow vehicle designed for both recreational and professional purposes

Back in October we found ourselves taking an after-dinner walk through the north Idaho town of Bonners Ferry. Just a ramble through the small town to see what was there.

To our amazement we stumbled upon one of the coolest things we’ve seen in a while. SnoTrack!

What is a Snotrac you ask? From their own description, it is a “Made in Idaho, USA | Built for the people who don’t wait for the plow” tracked snow vehicle.

They further describe it like this:

Simply put, a Sno Trac is a multi-passenger snow vehicle designed for both recreational and professional purposes. It takes you where other vehicles cannot.

And they continue with this:

Sno Trac was re-designed in Idaho with one mission: to go where others can’t, with less hassle and more reliability. From its compact profile to its use of standard, easy-to-find parts, Sno Trac delivers the performance you need without the complications you don’t.

Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to explore one due to it being after hours, but from looking them over as they sat in the lot they are quite impressive.

The Snotrac can be used for any number of things. Specifically backcountry access, ski patrol and search & rescue, utility or ranch work or even to service those out-of-the-way resorts up in the mountains.

The Snotrac is a robust Made In The USA vehicle. Assembled in northern Idaho.

The basic specs on the machine break down as follows:

• Heated Cab seats up to 7, including driver
• Weight: 3400 lbs. | 4900 lbs loaded
• 49.6 hp. Kubota Turbo Diesel engine – EPA Tier IV Final Emissions Compliant with 2-year warranty
• Closed Loop Hydrostatic Drive System

We can’t imagine needing to go anywhere that the Snotrac would not take us.
