Initial Ascent
Any true outdoors person will tell you: your pack is of utmost importance. It serves many masters: the fit must be perfect; it must hold everything you’ll need for however long you’ll be out; it must hold up to the serious demands of being away from civilization for long periods of time.
We are always on the lookout for quality packs. Our latest find is Initial Ascent.
Initial Ascent offers up hunting packs in 6 different sizes. Only going out for the day? Check out their Day Pack. Planning on being out for 10+ days? You’ll want to check out the IA8K Pack.
If your plans fall between those two extremes they have the IA2K Pack, the IA4K Pack and the IA6K Pack.
One of the great features of the Initial Ascent packs is they all work with the same frame and suspension setup. This means you can have a single frame and suspension setup but multiple bag sizes to use depending on your needs at the moment. It’s a complete system that allows you to expand and constrict as needed.
These bags are primarily intended for the hard-core hunters who are spending extended amounts of time in the backcountry. Hunters who need to have everything on their backs to accomplish anything that may come up.
Initial Ascent stands behind their products as well:
We guarantee that our materials will not fail our customers when it matters most.
And, perhaps even more impressive:
We test our products extensively with help from our support staff in the field. We construct each product to outlast even the toughest environments. Our backpack frames have been through 17 generations and 3 years in development.
The best way to get great products is to iterate on the concept. They have done this 17 times to get to a great design.
The great packs and the willingness to stand behind their product is accomplished by making their packs in the United States:
Our products are 100% made in the United States. We are proud, American backcountry hunters who live, work, and play in the adventurous state of Idaho.
Who better to buy a hunting pack from than those that hunt?
We hope to be adding an Initial Ascent pack to our setup soon.
